Transformation is an evening of adoration, praise, encounter and healing that takes place every 1st Friday of the month except for August. It is an opportunity for each person to have an encounter with Our Lord. It is a time to allow each person to grow in their relationship with the Lord, to hear the Word of God, to have time with the Lord and to experience the love of the Father. Transformation is a time to allow each person to let go of whatever is holding you back from being who God created you to be.
We begin with a short period of prayer, praise and worship. Mass follows this. A homily focused on encounter with the Lord is preached by Fr John or a visiting priest.
At the end of Mass, we move into a period of Eucharistic Adoration. While we are adoring, we continue with prayer, praise and worship. This time of adoration is focused on a personal encounter with Lord present in the Blessed Sacrament, a time for devotion and healing. After reflecting on the healing power of God's grace, each attending person has the opportunity to come forward to receive an individual blessing from the Holy Sacrament. People often comment about the beauty and intimacy of this encounter with the Lord.
We usually have two or three visiting priests available for the sacrament of reconciliation during the time of adoration. In addition, we often have several prayer teams of lay people from the parish available for personal prayer.
